BRAFA 2020 \u2013 African and Asian Art in Brussels<\/h1>\n

An exhibition between Africa, Asia and modernity<\/h2>\n

On the occasion of BRAFA Art Fair 2020, held at Tour & Taxis in Brussels, Dalton Somar\u00e9 Gallery presented an exhibition conceived as a journey through classical African art and ancient Indo-Buddhist art, in dialogue with the avant-garde painting of the early 20th century.<\/p>\n

The works on display, drawn from important private collections, were selected for their formal quality, historical relevance and their ability to express a universal aesthetic language.<\/p>\n

The Highlights catalogue<\/h2>\n

The exhibition was accompanied by the catalogue Highlights<\/strong><\/a>, conceived as a reflection on collecting African and Asian art and on the dialogue between cultures, periods and visual languages.<\/p>\n

The publication brings together a selection of works and proposes an approach to collecting based on an aesthetic and humanistic perspective, where beauty becomes the unifying principle between objects distant in time and space.<\/p>\n
